Dr Graham Urquhart is a principal environmental public health scientist in the Centre for Radiation, Chemical and Environmental Hazards of Public Health England (PHE). He works as part of a team who provide advice about chemical hazards in the environment and their risk to public health. This includes a wide range of situations such as contaminated land, water and air, industrial emissions and chemical incidents. Principal roles include strengthening multi-agency communications for incident preparedness and response, overseeing the delivery of an emergency duty desk and delivering training to a variety of audiences. Before joining PHE Graham studied forensic and analytical chemistry with a focus on chemicals in soil.
