Dr Jaye is a consultant in Emergency Medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust (GSTT).
He is also Director of Simulation for GSTT and Simulation lead for King’s Health Partners Academic Health Centre.
He is also on the national executive of the Association of Simulated Practice in Healthcare, the national simulation body of the UK.
He set up the simulation committee of the College of Emergency Medicine (CEM) integrating simulation into the CEM curriculum. He was appointed Simulation Development officer for London, for a combined project for ASPiH and the Health Education Academy, setting up the South London Simulation Network. He has developed simulation services at GSTT and the department now employs over 15 staff and trains over 4000 personnel per annum.
He co-wrote a national simulation document for the Department of Health on human factors training in the NHS. He set up the College of Emergency Medicine National simulation committee and led the introduction of simulation training into the Emergency Medicine curriculum where it is now firmly embedded.
