Theme 3 - Response

King's College London

Lisa is a PhD student at King’s College London. Having studied Psychology at the University of Chester, she completed her MSc in Mental Health Studies at King’s College London in 2019. She has an interest in learning about people’s behaviour and using this to develop interventions to mitigate the spread of infectious disease. Her PhD work pursues this interest by exploring how children’s behaviour impacts the transmission of infectious disease, both inside schools and during school closures as a result of a pandemic. She has been able to investigate how children and parents may cope with nationwide school closures and the impact of this on disease transmission, following the restrictions put in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
