Hester is a PhD student at the University of East Anglia (UEA). For her undergraduate degree, she studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, specialising in Experimental Psychology. After working for a period, she undertook a MSc in Physician Associate studies at UEA, following which she worked as a physician associate in primary care.  

Her PhD research will investigate mental health outcomes in individuals following traumatic events using primary care electronic health record databases
