Dr Alex Martin is a Research Associate in the Response Theme at the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in Emergency Preparedness and Response. She completed her PhD in Developmental Psychopathology at King's College London, where she investigated the role of fathers in children's mental health. Alex joined the Unit in 2021 as a PhD Intern and became a full-time researcher in 2022. Her research uses behavioural science approaches with a focus on epidemiology to investigate mental health and wellbeing outcomes following disasters and public health interventions.
