Theme 3 - Enhancing syndromic surveillance for early detection of incidents

Dr Alan Clark obtained his PhD in 2002 on spatial epidemiology which extensively used Bayesian approaches to risk estimation and cluster detection.

During his post-doctoral research he developed techniques for the spatio-temporal surveillance of diseases as well as the post-hoc identification of spatio-temporal disease clustering.

Since 2004 has concentrated on the application of statistics in clinical trials.

He has over 80 peer reviewed publications.
